Exhibition as part of the Maastricht Sanctuary 2025.

From 16 March to 31 August, the cloister of Saint Servatius Basilica will host a double exhibition around 'Servaas City of Maastricht'.

Ever since the late 4th century, Maastricht has been a major attraction for people (especially pilgrims) from all over the world. Using the 12th-century Saint Servatius legend by Henric van Veldeke, written in the Maasland dialect, the story of the city patron Servatius and his significance for the city of Maastricht is told.

There are also colourful paintings in the cloister on the theme of Processions by the well-known Maastricht painter-sculptor Wil van der Laan.

The double exhibition will be open seven days a week in combination with the Basilica and Treasury of Saint Servatius.
