The 'Maastricht Way of the Cross'
In 1983, local artist George van de Goor created 14 stations of the True Cross. Each one of these is situated in the city of Maastricht or its surroundings. In our cloisters, you can walk this Way of the Cross yourself.
In the town of Telfs in Tyrol (Austria) this Fastenkrippe (Lent or Passion Crib) is shown during Lent:

A large wall display case in our cloister now features a Lent nativity scene from Wim van der Veeken's collection. The Baroque figures are by Georg Haller, who painted and cut out the paper figures around 1800. The original illustrations are in the Götzens Parish Church in Telfs. The backgrounds for this Dutch display come from the flannel board publications for religious education by J. de Weijer & ZN from Baarn. The designer and illustrator was Father Faustinus SSCC.
